Floating infrastructure demands targeted coordination — from offshore hospitals to cold-chain barges. In 2025, dedicated firms are delivering project management across sectors, bringing deep marine, design, and delivery expertise.
Here are verified service providers expanding in the floating economy:
DNV supports UK hydrogen-powered floating microgrids. In September 2025, DNV joined a feasibility study led by Ricardo and Innovate UK for hydrogen-powered floating power hubs. DNV will serve as technical advisor and assurance partner for the modular microgrids.
Longitude leads marine operations engineering for FLNG. Engineering consultancy Longitude secured a contract in July 2025 to deliver marine operations engineering for a floating LNG installation off Africa. They are supporting detailed marine logistics and deployment strategy.
Ramboll strengthens delivery with K2 Management acquisition. In November 2024, Ramboll acquired K2 Management, adding deep expertise in project due diligence and governance. This expands their ability to manage floating infrastructure programs globally.
Hill International expands floating-capable PM services. By January 2025, Hill International had 4,100 consultants and over 90,000 project assignments. Their global program and project management capabilities now include marine and floating infrastructure programs.
That’s not all: as demand grows, firms are adding AI-enabled scheduling, marine risk modeling, and digital twins to their toolkits. The next wave of successful floating infrastructure will be built on sea and steered by expert managers ashore.
